Mar De Amores Boutique Hotel is located on the west end of Coco Beach, Isla Navidad (Christmas Island), boasting 25 kms (15 miles) of uninterrupted sandy beach, and located only 20 minutes away from Manzanillo Airport (we offer airport pick-up). Elevator access to the third floor takes you to three one bedroom condos, all ocean front facing. Large private balconies and open concept design accentuate the magnificent views. A perfect intimate hideout to recharge and reconnect. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is en-suite laundry. Let the waves lull you to sleep for a restful night filled with magical dreams for an intimate getaway. Imagine waking up to the sound of crashing waves and salty air, or spending romantic evenings watching the sun set over the horizon. Keep your vehicle cool in the underground secured parking which is included with your stay.
2 Bedrooms
The spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath condos are located on the elevator access second floor. From your large deck you are almost guaranteed to see humpback whales during your stay, which is pretty much a daily event from January to March. You will fall in love with the indoor outdoor open design and panoramic views. The fully equipped ocean facing kitchen features top of the line appliances, large counter space to get your creative culinary juices flowing. The open-concept living area has ample seating for entertaining and the master bedroom boasts a luxurious en-suite bathroom and a private Juliette balcony, perfect for watching the sun drop below the sea. Cool, secure underground parking is included with your stay.
3 Bedrooms
Luxury is what we provide with two beautifully contemporary designed and decorated ocean front three-bedroom condos with a large fully equipped gourmet kitchen, two-bathrooms, in suite laundry, exceptionally large deck, and spacious living area. All condos come with a secure parking space to store your vehicle and a convenient elevator to access all floors including the rooftop. Modern furniture decorate your surroundings, along with new appliances, a fully-equipped kitchen, 55” smart TV, Starlink internet, en-suite laundry, a pullout couch, king size beds with cozy bedding, and plush towels.

El Vallartazo is a unique event that brings adventure seekers from all over together for an unforgettable experience. Every year, people gather to make the drive from their city or state to Puerto Vallarta in their side-by-sides, UTVs and ATVs with the goal of exploring and experiencing the best that Mexico has to offer. Along the way, they make a weekend stop in Barra de Navidad before continuing on their journey.
Anita Pickleball Foundation & Academy
July 2023, our beautiful mother, ANITA (Panchita), left us to become another star in the sky. But her light continues to shine within us and echoes in our hearts, inspiring us to do something beautiful in her name. I've created the ANITA Pickleball Foundation & Academy to keep her spirit alive among us. It's all about spreading love, joy, and those beautiful values she always bestowed upon us. Anita always found a reason to smile, even when things got tough. We want to share that very same smile with all of you, and most importantly, with those who need it the most in our community.
What do we have in mind?
Playing with Love: We're going to establish a Pickleball academy, because my mom loved seeing how sports brought people together. We want to bring that fun to the kids in Barra de Navidad and the areas where access might be a bit more complicated.
Learning Together: Panchita believed in education and in the power of knowing how to take care of ourselves. That's why we're going to offer workshops on important topics like abuse and sexual violence. We want to protect our youth and provide them with tools to face any challenge.
Love in Special Times: And, of course, we're going to share love during Christmas and Three Kings Day. Nothing warms the heart more than seeing the smiles of children when they receive a little gift filled with affection!
Taking Care of Our Home: She always taught us to take care of our environment. So, in her honor, we're going to organize clean-up and street care events. Because taking care of our community is a way to honor her.
We're certain that my mother would be excited and proud to see what we're building together. We invite you to be a part of this beautiful legacy of love. Every grain of sand counts, and together we can achieve wonderful things!

Airport pickup and dropoff
At Manzanillo Airport, we offer both airport pickup and drop off services. Our drivers are available to pick you up from the airport and take you to Mar de Amores—safely and promptly. We also arrange for drop off back to the airport at the end of your stay.

In addition to our airport pickup and drop off services, we also can arrange car rentals, which is highly recommended when staying on the island. We also offer grocery delivery service. We will be more than happy to go the extra mile and pick up your grocery items before you arrive, so you can begin your getaway immediately. How to get from...?
Manzanillo
To get from Manzanillo to Mar de Amores, you can take a convenient taxi (we also offer airport pickup and drop off). The journey takes approximately 30 minutes and will cost around 500 pesos. Alternatively, if you have access to a car, it is possible to drive the route in approximately the same time. (we can arrange for fully insured car rentals). There are several different routes one can take depending on their departure point, but generally you will drive south along the coast before turning inland towards Mar de Amores. Once you arrive, you'll be welcomed to the hotel by friendly staff and enjoy breathtaking ocean views from the comfort of your room. Whether you're travelling by taxi or car, it's a convenient and beautiful journey that you won't soon forget. Enjoy your stay!
Pto. Vallarta
To get from Puerto Vallarta airport to Mar de Amores, a driver or taxi can be arranged. The cost is approximately 3000 pesos and the journey takes about 3.5 hours. The distance between Puerto Vallarta and Barra de Navidad is 222 km. The journey will take you through El Tuito, La Cumbre, Careyes, La Manzanilla and Melaque.
Guadalajara
Getting to Barra de Navidad from Guadalajara, Mexico is easy and can be done in a few different ways. The easiest way is by taking a direct bus, which departs from the city’s Central Bus Terminal (TAPO) or just outside of the airport. The trip takes approximately 5 hours and there are multiple buses that depart daily. These buses are new and comfortable! Another option is to take a flight from Guadalajara International Airport (GDL) to Manzanillo International Airport (ZLO), which is located about 28 km from Mar de Amores. While this option is more expensive than taking the bus, it does cut down on travel time significantly. Finally, those who are looking for a more scenic, albeit time-consuming route can opt to drive. The drive from Guadalajara to Barra de Navidad is about 350 km and takes approximately four hours. While this option may not be the most efficient, it does offer travellers the opportunity to explore some of Mexico’s beautiful landscapes along the way. No matter which route is chosen, the trip from Guadalajara to Barra de Navidad is sure to be an unforgettable one!
